You will want to either walk the Strip, take a taxi, a bus or the new monorail system to visit the strip. At least you will hop onto your own car or rented vehicle to see the city, shop at the various strategically located Fashion Show, Boulevard, Showcase Malls. I would advise you to walk the Strip. This way, you will have ample opportunities to see some of the wonders of Las Vegas. If you do not decide to shop for some of its goods, you will not have to pay anything. Make sure you have good shoes and enough liquids. Make sure you have a camera and lots of batteries. Las Vegas is about one of the most photographed cities in the world. Of course, there are a lot of things to take pictures of. How can one pass the Stratosphere, the Wynn Las Vegas hotels, shops, mountain and even construction sites without taking any pictures? How can you not take a picture of the Stardust highrise which is scheduled for demolition in a few weeks? The Stardust hotels and Casinos will make way for a $ new multibillion enterprise that is going to be built on its ruins.
Las Vegas is about the good foods served by great restaurants and chefs at four-star establishments. The city has an air of grandeur thanks to all the replications and new constructions of Casino hotels and resorts. Las Vegas is the favorite of Wall Street. Some taxi drivers and other city insiders say it is Wall Street's cash machine. The bankers are not worried about dumping money into Las Vegas. Donald Trump is building here too. Any business, hotels and restaurants that are located on the Strip will see huge amount of business all year round. Once again, location, location, location. Las Vegas is about real estate. It is about building the biggest and tallest building to house customers, players and fun-seeking tourists flying in or driving from all other states, especially California, Utah and the rest of the world. Las Vegas is about the shows, the stars and the efforts to provide security to millions of tourists and gamblers and convention participants who are in the city at any time of the year. The busy months of convention start in January and February. They go all the way to the Summer months. Las Vegas is about the taxi drivers who are trying to outdo each other and take advantage of the passengers.
